Alex Rodriguez appears ready to slide into home base.
The former Yankees slugger on Wednesday put on yet another PDA-packed display with Jennifer Lopez in the Dominican Republic while meeting with their team. Back in her robe, Lopez had a grin from ear-to-ear as she spent time with Rodriguez and the two female assistants.
At one point, the baseball great put his arm around the “Hustlers” star and pulled her in for a kiss as their staffers watched. In another, he bent over to steal another smooch from her as she put her hand on his face.
The couple has been smooching up a storm for the cameras since they jointly announced they were “working through some things” following their brief breakup last week, though noticeably missing is her massive engagement ring.
Despite the various loved-up displays, sources told Page Six that J.Lo and A-Rod still might not last.
Lopez, 51, is in the Dominican Republic filming her new movie, “Shotgun Wedding,” with Josh Duhamel. Rodriguez, 45, flew to the tropical island last weekend in an attempt to salvage his relationship with Lopez.
“They had a great couple days in the DR,” a source told us. “They continue to work through things. That’s the status quo right now. They’re together.”
Leading up to the split, Lopez had “recently been very upset on the set” of her film, and “for the last two weeks they have not been together and the last few days they were not good … They’ve been having some crazy issues.”
One issue, we reported, was Rodriguez’s link to “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy.
The long distance in recent weeks between the “Jenny From the Block” singer and the 45-year-old retired Yankees first baseman also led to strain.
Lopez shares 12-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is the father of two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with ex Cynthia Scurtis.
