Quebec reported 648 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.
A total of 302,339 infections have now been confirmed in the province since the first one was reported in February of 2020.
Quebec also announced five more deaths, three of which occurred past 24 hours.
A total of 10,599 fatalities have now been attributed to the virus in Quebec.
The number of hospitalizations due to the virus now stands at 501 patients, a decrease of four. Of those patients, 102 are in intensive care — an increase of three.
On Saturday, Quebec administered 28,543 vaccine doses.
Since the start of its vaccination campaign, the province has received 1,050,355 doses of which it has administered 944,793.
The number of confirmed variant cases in Quebec remained stable at 542. The majority of those cases (328) are in Montreal, where all but four of the confirmed variant cases involve the B.1.1.7 strain first identified in the United Kingdom.
The number of presumed cases, however, rose by 160 to 3,109. Nearly half of the province’s presumed variant cases (1,467) are in Montreal.
Of the new cases reported in Quebec on Sunday, 264 were in Montreal.
A total of 112,707 infections have now been confirmed in the Montreal region.
