Calgary police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who twice robbed a cannabis store in the city’s northwest.
In both cases, one man went in to rob the store while the other remained outside as a lookout.
The first robbery happened Dec. 28, 2020, just after 10 p.m., when one man entered the Cancan Club Cannabis store in the 1900 block of Kensington Road.
While brandishing a can of bear spray, he demanded cash from the till. The cashier refused and the man then lifted his shirt, exposing what was thought to be the handle of a handgun. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
After exiting the store, the robber went northbound on 19th Street N.W. and met up with the second man.
The man who entered the store is described as five feet seven inches tall with a medium build and blue jeans. He was wearing a black hoodie, grey gloves, a black tuque and a black face mask. The second man is described as slim, and about six feet tall. He was wearing a tracksuit.
Police believe the same two men robbed the store again on Jan. 19. The incident was caught on CCTV.
