Etisalat Web Extension For People With Autism
Etisalat has launched a free web extension that will help in providing a simplified version for browsing for people with autism.
The initiative was launched to commemorate World Autism Day on 2 April. The web extension is in partnership with the Ministry of Community Development.
To access the web extension, users can log on to the website and click ‘on’ to download and activate the ‘Etisalat Wider Web’ web extension.
The web extension will remain on the Google extension page and can be accessed using the ‘More Tools’ and ‘Extension’ options.
By clicking on the ‘Etisalat Wider Web’ green icon which will activate the extension.
The extension will offer neutral colours like dark grey or medium grey, simplified fonts, simplified menus, simplified layouts, fewer images, ad blockers, and carousel freezing to facilitate reduced sensory overload.
