Delhi’s Covid Surge Continues as Over 4,000 Cases Reported 1st Time This Year, Positivity Rate 4.64%
Delhi recorded 4,033 coronavirus cases on Sunday, the highest daily count this year, as the positivity rate rose to 4.64 percent from 4.48 percent the previous day, according to the health department. Twenty-one more people died due to the disease, the highest since January 1, when an equal number of fatalities were reported. The number of cumulative cases stands at 6,76,414 and the death toll is 11,081.
‘Factually Incorrect’: EC on Mamata’s Claims About Presence of Outsiders at Nandigram Polling Booth
In a strongly worded rejoinder to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Election Commission has rejected her claim about the presence of outsiders at a polling booth in Nandigram as “factually incorrect” and “devoid of substance”. The EC sent the letter to Banerjee on Saturday in response to a complaint filed by her on April 1, when polling was held in Nandigram, alleging irregularities in the polling process.
Kapil Sharma Finally Reveals the Name of His Baby Boy
Kapil Sharma recently turned a year older and while responding to fans’ wishes on Twitter he revealed his son’s name. Neeti Mohan, who also wished Kapil, asked what he has named his son. Kapil responded to this writing, “Thank you Neeti. Hope you’re taking well care of urself. We named him trishaan (sic).”
Moeen Ali Objects to Liquor Brand Logo on CSK Jersey; Franchise Removes It
The Chennai Super kings have removed the logo of a liquor brand from Moeen Ali’s jersey as the later is a muslim and his faith bans him from consuming alcohol. The 33-year-old England cricketer had earlier asked the franchise to do the needful to which they readily agreed. The jersey had the logo of SNJ 10000 which is a surrogate product brand of Chennai-based SNJ Distilleries.
