Six people have reportedly been found dead in a home in Texas in what police claim may have been a murder-suicide by two brothers.
Officers were called to a home in Allen, outside of Dallas, around 1am on Monday morning following concerns for the family’s welfare.
Six bodies were discovered, with no survivors, as reported by The Dallas Morning News.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released but Allen Police said that the victims include two teenage brothers, a sister, their father and mother, and a grandmother.
The youngest victim was 19 years old, police said.
Although a motive has not been established, police said they believe the brothers may have been the suspects.
A family friend alerted police to reports of a person feeling suicidal at the address early on Monday morning.
Police sergeant Jon Felty told KRLD News Radio 1080 today that they believed the victims died of gunshot wounds.
He said: “It looks like two teenage sons entered into an agreement that they were going to commit suicide and that they were going to take their family members with them.”
He added that the family may have immigrated to the US from Bangladesh.
More to come.
