Unvaccinated residents won’t be able to enter some places and obtain some services.
The UAE is considering the possibility of imposing movement restrictions on residents who have not taken the Covid-19 vaccine despite being eligible to do so.
Addressing the Covid-19 briefing on Tuesday, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said unvaccinated residents won’t be able to enter some places and obtain some services.
Delaying or refusing the vaccine is a threat to the safety of society and exposes all groups, especially those most vulnerable to infection, to the coronavirus, NCEMA added.
“We stress that it is necessary and important that all residents above the age of 16 eligible for vaccination must get vaccinated in order to reach full recovery and protect society from Covid variants.”
