West Ham vs Chelsea
The race for Champions League football is set to heat up on Saturday evening.
West Ham will play host to Chelsea in what could be a huge tie in both club’s seasons.
At present, it is Chelsea who occupy the final Champions League spot after picking up a 0-0 draw with Brighton earlier this week.
However, West Ham are currently sat behind the Blues only due to goal difference.
Tottenham and Liverpool, though, are only behind the London-based outfits by two points.
So, the Hammers really cannot afford to lose this clash if they hope to continue fighting for a top-four berth.
David Moyes on West Ham team news
Ahead of Saturday evening’s game, David Moyes would speak to the media on Friday afternoon.
When doing so the Scotsman discussed a number of topics including team news.
And as per Moyes, the Hammers look set to be with pretty much the same squad as their last outing, though Moyes stated that Aaron Creswell is getting closer to a return and they will see how he feels on Saturday:
“We’re very much the same as we were last week.
“There are one or two getting closer to fitness. I’m not sure whether they’ll make it.
“Jesse Lingard had a bit of cramp last week which we didn’t see as being too big a problem at the time and he’s fine.
“We’re hopeful that we can get Declan, Micky, Aaron Cresswell and Arthur back amongst it soon because they’ve been important players for us.
“Cress is getting closer, we’ll monitor it and see how he feels by tomorrow.”
