Vancouver Police are warning the public about a high-risk sex offender who poses a risk to teenage girls and sex workers.
Jatin Patel, 46, will be living in Vancouver after serving a seven-year, long-term supervision order for sexual assault.
Patel was declared a dangerous offender in March 2018 after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old in a Surrey motel in January 2015.
He assaulted the teen again two months later after inviting her and a female friend to the recovery house where he was staying.
Between those two incidents, in February 2015, he touched the buttocks of a 13-year-old girl at a Safeway store. He was convicted of a further sexual offence in this case.
In 2003, Patel killed a prostitute at a North Vancouver motel room after he discovered she was transsexual.
He is South Asian, 5-foot-2, with short black hair, brown eyes and a medium build, said police.
Patel has to comply with a slew of conditions.

He cannot use, buy or possess alcohol or drugs other than prescribed medication; cannot associate with anyone believed to be involved in criminal activity or substance use; cannot be in the presence of any female under age 18 unless accompanied by an adult; and cannot have contact with sex workers or be near where they are.
He is also banned in or near parks, daycares, schools, pools, or recreational centres unless with an adult; and banned from any technological device that would allow access to the internet.
He has to live in a community correctional centre or a community residential facility.
Anyone who witnesses Patel violate any of the above conditions is asked to call 911.
