Veteran Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor has tested positive for COVID-19. He is currently undergoing treatment at a leading hospital in Mumbai. The 74-year-old actor is the father of Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
A reliable source told ABP News that the Randhir was hospitalized on Wednesday at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital as he was not keeping well. He underwent several tests including COVID-19 at the hospital. The results for his Coronavirus test came out as positive.

The doctors are treating Randhir after his COVID-19 test results turned out to be positive on Thursday morning. We have got to know that Kapoor is suffering from a severe type of diabetes and other diseases. He has been admitted in the VIP ward, where the doctors are taking special care of him.
Randhir’s younger brother Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020 after a two-year long battle with leukemia. His second brother Rajiv Kapoor died after suffering a heart attack earlier this year in February.
Dr. Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director of Kokilaben hospital, issued a statement to share an update about Kapoor’s health. He informed that the ‘Lafange’ star’s condition is stable.
“Veteran actor Mr. Randhir Kapoor was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani On Wednesday night for treatment of COVID-19. His condition is stable,” the statement read.
Randhir worked as a child artist in the 1950s in films like ‘Shri 420’ (1955) and ‘Do Ustad’ (1956). The ‘Haath Ki Safai’ actor made his debut as a leading hero in ‘Kal Aaj Kal’. The movie also starred his father Raj Kapoor and his grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.
On a related note, several tinsel town celebs including Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal had tested positive for COVID-19 in recent times.
