It’s a tailgate and a bed step and a worktable, and now it’s available on Silverado HD models.

The Multi-Flex tailgate on the current-model Chevy Silverado 1500 is awesome. It adds tons of functionality to not only the tailgate but also the truck’s bed. The bummer was that it’s only available on the 1500, but according to an announcement Monday by Chevrolet, that’s changing.
Yep, that’s right. The Silverado HD 2500 and 3500 full-size pickups will now be available with the Multi-Flex tailgate for the 2022 model year. That means that you can tow and haul incredible amounts of stuff, and get into and out of your truck’s bed easily.
The Multi-Flex tailgate is optional on all 2022 Silverado HD models, in addition to the also-rad conventional power up-and-down tailgate option on the LT, LTZ and High Country trims.
The 2022 Silverado HD models should reach dealers sometime this summer.
