With interregional travel permitted a week after the gates are unlocked, will it help dwindling attendance?

La Ronde will be reopening on May 22, a full two months sooner than last year, when the amusement park adopted new safety measures such as cleaning crews for rides, temperature checks and reserved entry times.
Given the green light earlier this month prior to the provincial government’s recent reopening announcement this week, La Ronde will continue to impose a reduced capacity with a reservation system for visitors looking to climb aboard rides like the Goliath or Vampire roller-coasters. Certain rides, such as the Monster, will continue to be closed due to difficulties around sanitization.
With no tourists from abroad for the second year in a row, the reopening follows the park’s recent attempt to attract locals by hosting a miniature techno music festival. It’s possible visitors from elsewhere in Quebec will be attracted by the park’s low ticket costs and buttress the attendance rates when interregional travel is allowed, starting May 28.
