Saka ruled out of Romania friendly
England manager Gareth Southgate have been dealt a serious blow with Bukayo Saka being ruled out of the friendly this evening against Romania with a hip problem.
The positive news is that it is not expected to keep him out of the tournament but after the injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold there are always worries that more injuries could occur.

Saka spent time out of the Arsenal team towards the back end of the season due to another injury problem which meant that he missed the previous international break. Should the problem persist, Southgate may need to consider further changes.
Bukayo Saka will miss England’s opening World Cup qualifier against San Marino on Thursday.
Still at Arsenal having hamstring injury assessed but England hopeful he can link up for Albania and Poland fixtures having played 74 minutes against West Ham on Sunday.

Ben White in with call-up chance
After Trent Alexander-Arnold was injured in the friendly against Austria and had it confirmed he would not be available for the summer tournament, questions as to who would take his place surfaced.
With already three other right-backs in the squad including Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker, it is unlikely that yet another full-back would be drafted in.
Brighton’s Ben White is said to have impressed Southgate and he could be in with a chance of a surprise call-up.

White is expected to feature for England tonight against Romania with Harry Maguire still injured. Jesse Lingard and James Ward-Prowse are also in contention.
