Things are looking bleak for the Bucks in their second-round series vs. the Nets.
The Bucks received a 125-86 thrashing from Brooklyn on Monday, putting the team down 2-0 as the series heads back to Milwaukee. The disparity in score — plus the flat performances by Giannis Antetokounmpo and others — have made the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference an easy target for criticism and jokes.
Joining the chorus of criticism is … Siri? Yep. If asked the score for Monday’s game, the Apple virtual assistant will offer several superlatives, all at Milwaukee’s expense, while recapping the contest. As noted by actor and comedian Ben Schwartz:

Other responses include “definitely beaten” and “soundly defeated.” Those aren’t wrong descriptions by any means, but it’s still strange to hear that level of description from a phone app.
Naturally, the Nets’ social media team decided to pile on, even referencing a recurring joke from “Comedy Bang! Bang!” — a weekly comedy podcast in which Schwartz appeared for four episodes:
All joking a salad, the Nets defeated the Bucks, 125-86

If Milwaukee wants to be more than the butt of everyone’s jokes, it will have to win at least a game against Brooklyn as the series heads back to friendly territory. That’s especially true for Antetokounmpo, who had only six first-half points in Monday’s game in an 18-point, 11-rebound effort against Brooklyn. He will need to start playing more like the defending NBA MVP if Milwaukee wants to get back in the series.
The Bucks have another chance to do just that on Thursday, when they take on the Nets at 7:30 p.m. ET.
