Bayern Munich have ruled out selling Manchester United target Kingsley Coman in the January transfer window.
The France winger was being monitored as potential alternative to top Red Devils target Jadon Sancho over the summer.
However, United ended up signing young wingers Amad Diallo and Facuno Pellistri instead after frustration set in.
While a return for Sancho in January was always unlikely, rumours have persisted that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look to bring in Coman instead.
Coman joined Bayern from Juventus in a permanent move in July 2017 after a successful loan spell.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form for the defending Bundesliga champions this season.
And Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has firmly stated that Coman is “not for sale”, as reported by Sky Germany.
Following Bayern’s statement of intent, it is likely that United will now turn to other targets.

Three position upgrades
A new centre-back, central midfield and a right-back are Solskjaer’s priorities for January.
One central defender who looks unlikely to move to Manchester though is Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano.
United have reportedly cooled their interest in the French defender and will pursue other targets instead.
With Paul Pogba’s future still looking unclear, the Red Devils have been urged to make a move for Declan Rice.
Sky Sports also reported last week that United were keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
