(CBS DETROIT) – Members of the neighborhood are on the march to discover a lacking mom in Detroit.
Tamala Wells vanished from the 19000 block of Appoline Street on Detroit’s west aspect eight years in the past.
A day after what would have been her forty second birthday, members from the Marcus Garvey Movement hit the streets to carry consciousness to her disappearance.
The mom of two went lacking August 6, 2012. She was final seen at her residence round 9 p.m. close to Telegraph and Eight Mile.
Her white 2001 Grand Prix was discovered on town’s east aspect with no indicators of her.
Now her household and buddies is urging anybody who might find out about her whereabouts to talk out.
“We want to say she’s not forgotten. We’re going to continue to knock on doors, to have prayer vigils, to go up in abandoned houses on this side of town and the east side where her car was found until we find her. We have to have a body. Preferably living, but a body because bodies don’t just disappear,” stated Minister Malik Shabazz of the Marcus Garvey Movement.
A money reward as much as $2,800 is on the market for data on Wells’ case.
